Alamo Golf Trail: San Antonio Texas

Golf

One of the most beautiful golf trails in Texas is the Alamo Golf Trail. The Alamo Golf Trail is located in San Antonio and consists of seven different San Antonio-owned and managed golf courses. Each course has its own personality and unique characteristics. The Alamo Golf Trail is not only great for golf, but it’s also unique among Texas Golf Trails.

Riverside, Olmos Basin and Brackenridge Park are all similar, with large trees and relatively flat fairways.

Willow Springs is a mix of both ups and downs. It is also longer than the average golf course with large greens and open fairways.

Cedar Creek is a hill country course that features big greens, rolling hills, elevation changes, dog legs, and stunning views.

Old Brack opened to play in 1916, making it the oldest course in Texas. It is also home to the Texas Open for 37 year. You can play where Hogan and Nelson won tournaments. Brackenridge Park, a traditional Parkland-style course at 6243 yards from its tips, has been renovated to include fairway bunkers and elevated greens that are protected by deep bunkers. It’s a fun 18-hole course with excellent conditions that offers the chance to score well.

Denis Griffiths was the first American Golf Architect who designed Mission Del Lago in St. Andrews. There are many features that will make your experience memorable: wide fairways, large greens, windy conditions, and over 100 bunkers. This, along with great conditions, fair rates, and some truly unique holes, makes playing here an unforgettable experience.

Olmos Basin Golf Club is a traditional Parkland course featuring wide fairways, tree-lined fairways, and large greens. There are some issues with the creek, which cuts through several fairways. Dog legs and bunkers that guard the greens can also cause problems. The course is in good condition and offers many birdie opportunities. You can also enjoy a relaxed round and score a good score.
